William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare was a dramatist and poet born in England. He is considered by many as the all time great writer in English. He is regarded as the national poet of England. Commonly known as the Bard of Avon, he has authored works like Hamlet, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, Othello and A midsummer night’s dream. He died on April 23 1616 in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. The language used by him was stylized and included many metaphors. His works have influenced many generations of poets, playwrights and authors. He has works in many genres like comedy, tragedy and romance.
